My Top 5 Favourite ASMR Artists

Ah ASMR… Nothing quite beats the soothing effects of ASMR after a hard and stressful day.

If you’ve got no idea what I’m talking about, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It’s a collection of gentle noises such as tapping, clicking, even eating (if you’re into that) that stimulate your senses, evoking a sense of calm. Some people experience tingling sensations up their spine, others feel so deeply relaxed that they are lulled into a dreamless sleep.

Personally, I love listening to people brushing or cutting hair. It takes me straight back to the days of being a child, sitting cross-legged whilst my mum brushed my hair. Or when I’d sit very still during school assembly whilst the girl behind would plait and braid it.

ASMR has become far more popular in recent years with plenty of artists turning to YouTube to showcase their work.

Here are My Top 5 Favourite ASMR Artists that I recommend you check out right now.

Tingting is a Chinese ASMR artist who operates in front of a green screen.

Her videos are usually role play with a lot of whispering and tapping etc.

What hooked me originally was, of course, her hair brushing and cutting videos!

Tingting is amazing at posting regularly with fresh ideas each time and as her followers will already know, whenever she pops on the screen you’ll be hit with her trademark ‘werrcome back’ greeting!

Another artist that serves up some brilliant hair cutting videos is Myaling!

Myaling is a Korean Youtuber, known for her realistic background sets and very crisp attention to detail.

I especially love her spa videos and tea party role play videos.

Some of her videos are very long in length which really helps in trying to get to sleep!

Semide is a Canadian ASMR artist who specialises in medical assessment videos, massage and scalp check videos.

She’s been known to feature members of her family on her videos, lucky so and so’s…

I especially enjoy her scalp checks using wooden sticks, don’t ask me why, but the gentle tapping really relaxes me!

Ediya, born in China, also grew up in Canada and is an intuitive healer and meditation mentor.

Her Youtube channel is filled with different styles of ASMR including tarot, reiki, guided meditation and hypnosis.

Ediya actually has her own website which I have linked for you, this will also take you to her Youtube.

Fun fact: Semide and Ediya often appear on each other’s videos and show each other great support!

Last, but by no means least, is this incredible artist from America.

John is relatively new to Youtube but provides such creative and versatile content that I imagine he’ll blow up pretty big quite soon!

He is also one of the only ASMR artists I’ve seen to include different hair textures, providing representation and support to POC ASMR artists.

Please check this guy out and if you’re also interested in beauty channels, then why not show his wife some love also? Click here for Jen Luv’s Youtube!
