My Top 5 Favourite ASMR Artists
Ah ASMR… Nothing quite beats the soothing effects of ASMR after a hard and stressful day.
If you’ve got no idea what I’m talking about, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It’s a collection of gentle noises such as tapping, clicking, even eating (if you’re into that) that stimulate your senses, evoking a sense of calm. Some people experience tingling sensations up their spine, others feel so deeply relaxed that they are lulled into a dreamless sleep.
Personally, I love listening to people brushing or cutting hair. It takes me straight back to the days of being a child, sitting cross-legged whilst my mum brushed my hair. Or when I’d sit very still during school assembly whilst the girl behind would plait and braid it.
ASMR has become far more popular in recent years with plenty of artists turning to YouTube to showcase their work.
