5 Family-Friendly Attractions in Pattaya

In my previous Pattaya post, Pattaya, Thailand: My Experience, I told you about the well-known reputation Pattaya has amongst tourists. If you’re a parent, you’re probably wondering why you’d ever visit and I can’t blame you for that. You want somewhere family-friendly where you can relax knowing your children are safely enjoying themselves, right?

Well, on the flip side of its notoriety, you might be surprised to know that Pattaya is actually very family-friendly. Besides its vibrant nightlife, Pattaya is also known for its vast array of beaches, shopping centres and adventure sports but if you like your holidays a little on the quieter side, then I’ve put together the following list.

I’ve rounded up 5 of the best family-friendly attractions whilst you’re in Pattaya so that you and your family can enjoy and get the most out of your holiday.

snorkeling

Snorkelling

Why not treat yourselves to a full day of snorkelling in Pattaya and its nearby islands? You may get lucky and even spot a turtle or two.

There are plenty of scuba diving centres located in main Pattaya, please check websites such as TripAdvisor for one that will suit your needs.

The Sanctuary of Truth is one of the most popular tourist spots in Pattaya.

Carved entirely out of wood, this intricate construction is a temple/castle hybrid. The structure is truly unique and a must-see during your time in Pattaya.

Be sure to check the website for more information and remember to dress appropriately.

Buddha Mountain & Silverlake Vineyard

Why not take the family to see the famous laser-carved Buddha Mountain?

Engraved into the northern face of Khao Chi Chan is one of the biggest Buddha images in the world. The design was first lasered into the mountain at night and then filled in with gold.

Next, venture onward to the beautifully scenic Silverlake Vineyard. Here you can bask in the surrounding peaceful nature, have a spot of lunch or even choose to take a packaged vineyard tour.

Escape the heat by heading to Thailand’s biggest water park. Ramayana Water Park is the ideal place for a carefree day out.

Providing all sorts of water-based entertainment with wave pools, high-speed water slides, relaxation spots, restaurants and dedicated splash parks for the little ones, it’s sure to be a big hit with the kids.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

Nong Nooch is the largest tropical botanical garden in Southeast Asia and is the perfect place for nature lovers. Feel free to explore the 500-acre grounds with its varied selection of themed gardens and tropical plants.

Be sure to check the website for more information and any additional extras.

I haven’t been to Thailand for a couple of years now, but thanks to some quick research, I’m pleased to note that these attractions are still running. There are most likely some new ones for you to take full advantage of too.
