5 Best Hair ASMR Videos to Soothe You to Sleep

For some reason my ASMR posts go down a storm… so to acknowledge this, yep you guessed it, here’s another ASMR post!

If you’re new to the world of ASMR and/or new to my blog, allow me to briefly explain the basics of this phenomenon to you.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a compilation of soft sounds that arouse your senses and instil a sense of tranquillity, including tapping, clicking, and even eating, if that's your thing. While some people feel their spines tingle, others are so relaxed that they quickly fall into an easy dreamless sleep.

One of my favourite ASMR triggers has always been hair videos. To be specific, hair-cutting videos. However, occasionally a hair straightening/curling video works just as well!

Here’s what I think are the 5 best hair ASMR videos to soothe you to sleep…

This ASMR artist has quite a few different videos on their channel but the ones I keep going back to are definitely the DIY home haircuts! I don’t think I’m alone in this either as they’re listed as the most popular videos.

CozyClouds admits that they are in no way a professional hairdresser, but honestly, who cares when the tingles are this good?

This South Korean-based channel has been one of my favourites for a while. Scissor cutting, straightening, curling, the world’s clickiest tools, this channel has it all. Honestly, do yourself a favour and check this video out.

Oh, and I just have to say one thing: I see comments on the videos about how the artist is ruining the client’s hair by straightening it when wet. From my understanding (because I used to get this done a lot professionally) it’s a treatment. It is either a Brazillian blow dry treatment or some kind of perm treatment, which would make sense as a lot of South Korean women, where this channel is based, have straight hair which they prefer curly. You basically have to straighten the mixture into the hair which is why it looks wet.

Twix has always been an essential go-to for me when I’m trying to concentrate on work or relax at home. She has many different videos from nail manicures to bridal styling, pampering sessions to preparing gift boxes etc. But my favourite by far, is this one here.

Let me know if it works for you!

Korean YouTuber Myaling, who is well-known for her realistic setups and unwavering dedication to her art, has some excellent hair-cutting videos. They’re mostly at the beginning of her YouTube journey so you may have to do a bit of scrolling but here’s one to get you started.

This channel has been around for a few years, but I've only just recently discovered Japanese Shampoo ASMR, so I'm rather new to it myself. There are many videos available, each featuring different hairdressers with unique styles.

Check this video out and see what you think!
